Amethyst: The Mystical February Birthstone

The "traditional" birthstone of February is amethyst, a regal, captivating crystal that promotes spiritual and emotional wellbeing.

I use quotations when I say "traditional," though, because, while this stone is typically associated with birthdays in the month of February, most February birthdays (all those through the 18th) fall under the astrological sign Aquarius, which is associated with an entirely different birthstone - aquamarine, which we'll cover in next month's post.
