These tiny sterling silver studs are made by fusing silver beads together (a process called granulation) on a fire brick, which creates an interesting texture from the slight melting of the metal during the process. The three beads fused together remind me of a heart shape. They measure approximately 1/3" in diameter and make a nice everyday stud earring. I like to wear them as an accent to my main earring (see alt photo).
