We're big lovers of turquoise here. This regal stone is from the Kingman, Arizona, mine, which produces some of the world's most recognizable turquoise. Kingman turquoise ranges in color from pale to dark blue with matrixes that range from white to light brown or black. This stone is the prototypical turquoise blue-green with a lovely brown-black matrix.

Turquoise facilitates communication and promotes creativity, bringing inspiration to begin new projects. It is known to open the third eye, making it a facilitator of spiritual growth. It can balance and align the chakras and, as a stone of tranquility, can bring emotional healing from states like anxiety and depression.

Turquoise is a sacred stone to Native Americans. Navajo legend holds that when it finally rains after a long drought, turquoise is formed from the human tears of joy soaked into the Earth. So this stone will connect you to the earth as well as to the spirit world. It attracts prosperity, success and good fortune. And it is one of the birthstones of December.
